Lured by the recent billboard ads we had seen throughout the city, we had a Saturday date night to check out the new menu items. We were pleasantly surprised at how good the food was! The service is always pretty good - we got seated very quickly, choosing the balcony for a bit more tranquility. Our server was very responsive and attentive throughout the evening. We ordered the Spicy Pork Wontons to start - very fresh with good flavor and light enough to get our taste buds ready. For the main course, we tried the Spicy Shrimp and the Flavored Beef....both excellent! The shrimp has a kick to it, but not overpowering - the beef was tender with lots of flavor (mix of sweet and a touch of tang...nice combination). Applying the hot sauce mix the server created an enhanced flavor profile that we both enjoyed. They've done a nice job recreating the PF Chang concept in Panama and I absolutely recommend it to anyone looking for Asian fusion dining.
If you are looking for a superior casual Chinese dining experienc, PF Changs is the place to go. The Panama version of this American restaurant chain is a very good facsimile and doesn't disappoint if you are familiar with what the taste and experience should be. The menu covers all the favorites (Mongolian beef, Sweet and Sour Pork etc.), but on today's visit, they had a seasonal seafood menu as well. I tried the Ma La Shrimp....a slightly sweet and spicy dish that included green beans which I had with white rice. Very tasty dish, just spicy enough to make a good match with the rice and my Twisted Whisky Sour drink. My wife had the Sweet and Sour Chicken, which was also very good, not too sweet as it can be at other places. Love the ambiance and the service was attentive and quick. You cant't go wrong with this choice if you are looking for a good restaurant in MultiPlaza.
