Taberna la Malagueña (El Cangrejo)

Salimos un grupo de amigas y encontramos este interesante lugar. Pedimos unas papas alioli y unas croquetas de bacalao, para empezar, también pedimos unas alitas al vino y terminamos con una fritura malagueña. Todo muy rico, llegó rápido y fresco. Terminamos con un show de tablado, música en vivo y baile español que alegró más el ambiente

Fuimos en familia a tomarnos algo y picar alguna de las tapas; todo delicioso y la tensión muy buena. El lugar es chiquito, pero muy agradable y es como si tuvieses una tasca en España

Cambiaron el menú, quitaron los chorizos de las taoas, agregaron unas alitas con una salsa de vino que eran muy dulces, las alitas era extremadamente pequeñas, parecían de un pollo de 3 semanas de nacido. Las porciones son ahora mucho más pequeñas, pedimos una ración de papas y era mucho menos que antes, las croquetas son más pequeñas y ya no vienen con las papitas fritas, además de que redujeron las porciones, aumentaron los precios!!! El sabor muy bueno y el ambiente con el show de flamenco, pero la comida ya no vale la pena. Que triste.

El restaurante creo es el mas famoso de todas Panamá, el servicio es súper atento Bebidas bien fría el lugar se presenta bien peró el lado negativo es la comida! Comí allí varias veces y lo siento mucho però vamos mal ! No volveré a comer allí !

Went on Sunday for the Paella/wine offer but was very disappointed with everything. The food , the service was not as it used to be. I have been visiting La Malagena very regularly since it opened. Yesterday we went as a group of 4 people and ordered the Paella and wine. It was very quiet in the bar just 8/9 people and was told it would take 45 min to prepare the meal. No problem, so we also ordered a couple of starters. After 40 min and no wine or starter we asked when it was coming,. The waitress had forgotten to tell the chef of the order( It was just 8 people in the restaurant not 108) Also where was the wine. They brought the wine and quickly the starters.. The croquettes where absolutely tasteless, had no idea what they were but the squid rings were nice but oh what a tiny tiny plate for the money. Suddenly the football commentary began over the speakers, so loud that you just could not talk and the waiter could not hear us aghhhhhhh... The Paella came after 1.5 hrs , and that too was incredibly disappointing, no taste , the muscles were tough and the prawns wet and mushy. We had good company and that was all that was good. I used to love Malagena but it is now super overpriced with poor service and very very disappointing food and I would rather spend my $100 elsewhere.. Will I go back, sadly no.....
