Caribbean potion: Sweet and absolutely fucking smooth. Alcohol feels very light and the drink itself feels slightly creamy to the touch. Tastes similar to a piña colada but as if the coconut and the pineapple fully blended with each other and created something new instead of dancing along each other. The pandan adds a different kind of sweetness that melds everything together Pork belly tacos: crunchy nori tortilla (deep fried?). Small layer of lettuce, pork belly and topped with pickled cabbage. The cabbage was citrusy but not too sour as too overpower the meat. The pork belly was extremely umami, an explosion of flavor and nice texture. Had a nice bite, not too hard not too soft and a mellow spiciness. Lettuce adds a fresh element that alongside the pickled cabbage helps wash down the pork. Really tasty Ragnarok: it's like drinking a cookie. Same as the Caribbean potion, the cocktail was extremely smooth to the touch, no alcohol burning feeling though the rum is slightly stronger in this one. The smokiness and sweetness of the rum gets amplified by the cookie syrup and notes of toasted coconut. It's a perfect drink for people that like sweet and savory, reminiscent of a fruity or herbal salted caramel Chateubriand: cooked medium rare and cut in thin slices with sauce at the bottom. The meat was very juicy and tender with slightly crispy and salty edges. The bernaise sauce had a nutty and almost caramelized flavor which makes me think they browned the butter, a welcome addition to the plate that pairs nicely with the umaminess of the meat. It came with truffle Parmesan fries, they were very crispy and you could feel the aroma of the truffle, though I wished the flavor was a bit stronger it was amazing to combine with the meat's sauce Chocolate Soufflé: We picked this choice because it was the only gluten free dessert they had available for our gluten free person in the table. We had a chocolate soufflé baked in a cast iron covered in almond praline and topped with a vanilla ice cream ball. The soufflé itself was vey hot and gooey in the center mixing with the melting ice cream was absolutely delicious. It wasn't too sweet and an absolute blast of chocolatey goodness. Now I will say this was the least interesting looking dessert on the menu and our last choice until they told us it was our only option. Despite how delicious it I think it's a safe choice and doesn't innovate on much compared to the rest of the menu. To finish it off they asked about dietary restrictions from the moment we stepped into the restaurant to which we said we had one gluten free dairy free person in our table. The waiter took a lot of care of us and made sure to give us menu options that fit the requirements but didn't offer replacements. Nevertheless everyone was so kind and attentive, hospitality was stellar and unlike most restaurants in the city. I really want to go back again.
