Slabón Café Bistró (Obarrio)

Slabon never fails. New more concise menú. Easy "build your burger" pages. The drink specials are very good. Thursday nights are 2x1 margaritas. The maracuya margarita is really good. The burgers are all made very nicely and prepared as should be.

Even the sandwiches are great in Slabon. I had their Philly Steak Sandwich and it was quite good. The side salad was fresh and the dressing was perfect. The 2X1 Mojitos were a welcome surprise. I enjoyed the Maracuya Mojito a lot!

No denying that Slabon makes great burgers. My only complaint is that the air conditioning at 1:00pm is freezing. Too cold to enjoy our time there. And worse is the volume of the music being played, All guests at table around ours had to raise there voices to be heard, heard by the entire restaurant. The food was great. But that is not unusual.

Their offering for Burger Week was excellent. Slabon knows this is a competition and wants to win. Their sandwich had the size, weight, combination and taste to win. The presentation of the burger under a dome filled with smoke added to the already great taste.

Slabon is getting way too popular. The tables are too hard to get especially at peak hours. But when you do sit and get your food, Slabon never fails to serve great burgers. This past visit I tried the Oaxaca Burger. The combination of pico de gallo, guacamole, and chipotle mayo was great.
