This year, we committed to trying out a restaurant neither of us have been to before at least once a month and last Saturday was our first "new visit" date night. Located in Casco Viejo, best to take the driver service of your choice - went with Uber - and arrived right on time for our reservation. The ambiance upon entry is cozy and intimate, with comfortable lighting and table placements. Seems that the AC setting may have been a touch high as there were periods where we felt a little warm, but eventually the AC kicked in and it felt comfortable again. That's the only "issue" of note as it relates to ambiance. The menu is Peruvian with heavy Japanese influence, so lots of Sushi, seafood options to consider. Being our first time, we decided to go with the Enkai Omakase for 2, which essentially was a select chef's menu which included 4pcs of Nigiri & Sashimi + 10pcs. of the Enkai and Acevichado rolls. All were excellent selections - fresh ingredients, well put together with delicious garnishes on the rolls, leaving us wanting for more! To satisfy that desire, we ordered the Volcano roll , a delicious blend of tempura shrimp, spicy tuna, salmon, lettuce, avocado with a touch of teriyaki - a wonderful blend that went over very well with us. To close out the meal, we went with the Chokoreto - their version of brownie a la mode. This was an excellent choice, delivered in an appealing presentation and served as a fine closing statement to our meal. Overall, this was an excellent experience - the food was fantastic, the service was good (seems that they could have used at least one more person in the dining area, though in fairness, they were attending a very large group in the back room), overall ambiance we good. It's now one of our favorite "good sushi" restaurants which we absolutely would recommend for others to check out.
Buena comida y buena atención, ha precios razonables. Ambiente íntimo y cálido. Respecto a los cócteles podemos indicar que están muy buenos.
