Cocina de La India

Cocina de la India serves delicious food. The samosas, gobi, butter chicken and naan's are fantastic. The meal gets ruined by teh "damaged" a/c that never gets fixed and is way too warm inside the dining room, when the check is requested and the owner gets offended due to the fact you are using a prepaid oferta simple voucher and he was not told before ordering, which leads you to believe that they either have a different menu for voucher users or they change the portions or quality for voucher users, or after eating and only ordering and eating $30.00 worth of food while using a $32.00 voucher the owner DEMANDS that you order more to consume the full $32.00 voucher. Absurd! I ate enough and did not want to consume any more. I accepted the fact that I was leaving $2.00 behind as a personal loss. The owner did not want to accept that. I left the ITBMS and a small tip behind and left the uncomfortably warm dining room. Diners please beware.

Always a satisfying meal when you dine in Cocina de La India. Today for lunch I tried three new dishes. All three were great.Gobhi Pakora and the Fish Tiki were the starters and the Thai Chicken Curry was the main dish. Real man size portions for a reasonable price.

Cocina de La India is just plain delicious. So far I must have eaten there at least 7 times and each time has been extremely enjoyable. I tried the paneer pakora for the first time and it had a creamy interior with a nice crunch on the outside. The sauces are also great with the appetizers. Butter Chicken, Chicken Masala and Onion Naan are must haves. The peas paluo is a delicious version of a rice dish.

This meal was surprisingly disappointing. I ordered the Red Chicken Curry but the chicken was inedible. Overcooked to the point a knife couldn't get through it. I sent it back and ask for a regular chicken curry that was acceptable but not up to their usual standard. Trying something different, I ordered the paneer paratha, which may have been what it should be, but really was not to my liking. I hope the kitchen takes note of the flaws and that this is just a one time glitch.

I've been to Cocina de La India many times, but I think today's meal was the best yet. This time I had the Chicken Masala and it was perfect. The flavors were on point with just enough heat that I didn't need to request additional picante. The chicken was cooked well and not dry. The Onion Naan was better than usual. Seriously, way too good.
