The Dining Room At American Trade Hotel

The atmosphere and wonderful service provided by the wait staff are charming. The menu has some outstanding items and staff will share diners favorites if asked. An extraordinary salmon eggs benedict and pulled pork on patacones. (plantain) Wonderful fruit juices, especially the tamarindo. Not too crazy about the hotel's coffee, hoping it improves. Excellent wine. On evenings there is often music that makes a great addition to the dining experience.

Me encanta pero mas por el lugar que la calidad de las cosas. Esta ultima vez senti que esta decayendo porque se olvidaron de traer pan, levantar la mesa antes del postre. La comida he comido mejor ahi.

Un lugar encantador que aprovecha la luz natural, que juega entre plantas naturales y toques de madera que te hacen sentir muy a gusto. La atención del personal es muy buena, y en cuanto a su comida nos gustó todo lo que probamos.

Excelente comida. Todo lo que ordenábamos era mejor que lo anterior. Todos los vegetales eran de lo mas fresco. El ambiente es exquisito. El servicio es bueno, solo tiene que tomar mas experiencia en la atencion. Se lo recomiendo a cualquiera que quisiera un muy buen ambiente en el Casco Antiguo

Very disappointing experience all round from trying to make a reservation to the actual food. Had to phone 7 times to make a reservation for the Sunday Brunch. Nobody was answering the number, when they did they would transfer it to the restaurant who would not answer and the call would hang up automatically after a certain number of rings. When calling reception and asking to make a reservation without being transferred to the restaurant they decided it was easier to hang up than to try resolve the problem. After the 7th call I finally managed to make the reservation. Much to my surprise when I arrived this morning for the brunch there was no reservation... The lady attending to us did not want to seat us as we did not have a reservation. After making a fuss we were finally seated. The hostess did not even try to be polite but made a point of showing us what an inconvenience and annoyance we were as guests. The food was equally as disappointing after having read good reviews about it. Over priced and average at best. $6 for a fruit juice, $25 for a tiny piece of meat with one egg on it. My only recommendation is to look else where in Casco Viejo. There are plenty of places offering way better value for money with better food quality and staff that is pleasant and service oriented.
