Los Tarascos (El Carmen)

This is a typical informal open air covered restaurant, many of which spring up on empty lots around Panama, that are low on frills but this one in particular is high on food quality. I was told by a Mexican friend that this is the most authentic Mexican food in Panama. We tried a variety of dishes off the menu, however none (in my opinion) could compare to the Tacos Pastor. These really are very good. They also have excellent fresh pineapple juice....best I have had in Panama. Service is efficient and good, prices not high....worth going to just for the tacos.

Nothing special as a restaurant, we were hoping for better, waiter was having a bad day I guess as he was quite miserable, and the ambience of the place was pretty bad. Ordered fundido de champinone followed by Alambre de arrachera, neither was good or tasty, asked for salt and pepper to add some taste but no pepper. We had just received the starter when the main course came , so that became a little cold while we finished our starter. It was not as though the restaurant was busy, there were just 5 people on two tables . Expensive and poor , not somewhere where I would return unfortunately.

Excelente opción para comer tacos, me atrevo a decir que el mejor en su categoría. La atención es muy buena y oportuna. Gran variedad pero me quedo con los volcanes y tacos al pastor.

Excelente la comida, muy tradicional mexicana con mucho sabor , Atencion muy buena y muy buen ambiente dentro del restaurante. Tiene bueno estacionamientos espaciosos.

Se mantiene la tradición del sabor de la culinaria Mexicana, fiel a los sabores típicos como siempre Los Tarascos en su sucursal del Carmen, creo es el mejor de todos
