My daughter and I tried this place for the first time today and had a delicious experience! She found her new favorite poke bowl in Panamá, the spicy tuna bowl. I tried the Paunch roll, it was fresh and tasty.
The service was friendly and prompt. Don’t let the fact it’s hidden in the corner of a small commercial center, scare you away.
Still one of my favorite go-to places. This time, I met some friends who had a puppy, and I was pleased that we could be accommodated on the patio. Good to know they are dog-friendly. Food and service were great as always.
I was excited to try this place, and it didn't disappoint. My table started with the Avacado Smash and a small Diavola pizza (can't go to a pizza place without enjoying their pizza). The Milanesa de res parmesano was delicious, and I would certainly order it again. The prices were reasonable, the service attentive, and a comfortable place.
I had a lovely evening here! Live music, fresh breeze, beautiful views atop the amazing Sofitel. We enjoyed the ceviche, fish of the day, and the burger - oh and a few great cocktails. I recommend this place!
I keep hearing about this place and finally took my daughter with 4 of her friends to check it out. Service was pleasant (with a smile) but painfully slow. I had the French dip which, although delicious, was a far cry from a French Dip. The dumplings were amazing but my daughter’s favorite was the açai bowl that the whole table ordered. I would go back again and recommend trying if you haven’t been yet.
I’ve been here a dozen times and twice in a the last 3 days. Lucca is my favorite go to place when I want some delicious food and good service.
I love the beef carpaccio, chicken cesar salad, and of course the pizzas! Actually I have yet to find anything on the menu that I didn’t like.
Took some foodie friends from California and they loved their experience. I’m always happy to dine at La Barbara! The cocktails are great, the food delicious (still the best salmon nigiri in Panamá), and service is excellent.
This was my third time at Zielo, and it gets better every visit. The Zielo mule cocktail was delicious. My table shared the hamachi (amazing, I wanted to order more) and a sushi roll. I had the catch of the day (Cobia) and it was perfect. my daughter had the peppercorn beef filet - also perfection.
The best part wasn’t the amazing ambiance or the food, it was the service. Yes, shocking for Panamá—Enrique was our server, and he was incredible; on top of everything. Super attentive and always present, without feeling like he was there. Gracias, Enrique! Kudos to Zielo for really prioritizing service! It was refreshing and I hope other restaurant owners in Panama will take notice!
Tried this place for the first time today for an afternoon coffee and snack. I was very impressed, don’t be fooled by the stark and bland outside, it’s a charming cafe inside. I had the avocado toast, I liked their sourdough so much, I got a loaf to take home (and one of the best chocolate chip cookies I’ve had in Panamá). One of my guests ordered the roasted chicken and was pleased. Our table enjoyed the “creamy and dirty matcha” and a “creamy cold brew”.
I recommend this place and will return.
Casa Escondida is the perfect name for this little jem! it’s a charming house turned restaurant with beautiful inside and lovey garden terrace where we enjoyed a great dinner tonight. The service was spot on, friendly, attentive, and professional. I enjoyed the beef filet with delicious chimichurri on the side. I recommend and will return here again!
