This was once of my favourite restaurants and still is for food quality, however service has slipped badly. An abundance of staff very few diners and virtually no interest in serving us without having to ask for everything except water. They brought the wrong pasta despite checking what we wanted. They had to be asked for bread and then butter ,the courses were ordered to come consecutively not at the same time. It really didn't matter which staff member we approached everything seemed to be a huge effort ...a careless kind of attitude.. and we had absolutely no tension or friction that might usually cause same. It seemed that with all the promotions going on that the art of personal attentive service has been lost at La Strega. Soon despite excellent food, bad service will drive customers to the many other competitors that employ waiting staff who are truly interested in serving customers.
