I want to start by saying that the duck was excellent, as was the fondue de queso. However the service was severely lacking. We had a reservation for four people, walked in and the place was empty, yet they kept us standing there for four or five minutes while they looked for our reservation. After seating us I ordered a beer, which they brought out in a can. Canned beer is for drinking at the beach, not for paying $3.50 in a french restaurant. So we ordered a very reasonably priced Argentine Malbec, which was very good. The coupe de grace was when they brought out my wifes Pargo as a whole fish, head on. It makes her sick. She refused it and so they took it back to the kitchen and brought it back as two very very bony fillets and really no taste at all. She indicated she didn't want it and was very rudely reproached by the waiter that she would pay for it regardless of whether she at it or not. She begrudgingly ate about half of it. When the chef/owner came out to see how our meal was (he was a friend of the couple we were eating with), my wife very clearly and politely expressed her anger, frustration and disgust with both the waiters behavior and the quality of the meal. The owner looked quite ashamed and apologized, but made NO OFFER to make good on the problem. They offered no discount, no coffee, no free desert. So for a piece of fish that i can buy in the fish market for $2.40, they have lost us as customers forever. My wife will never return. Just to clarify, my wife is Panamanian, so don't chalk this up to gringo attitude. Apparently the idea that return business is important is not a priority in Le Raffine, at least not as important as gettting the $16 for a bad meal. Short sighted management, poor service and 3 excellent meals out of four is not impressive.
