My husband ordered the Caribbean ceviche and I ordered the Peruvian chicken soup. Both were delicious, but the ceviche was more photogenic. We will return - again!
The waitress was very helpful in helping us decide what to choose from their menu. The fried eggplant (a tad under fried) was used as a ‘vehicle’ to eat the delicious tzatziki. The lamb gyro was ok (a bit dry but the tzatziki sauce helped). We ended on a high note with baklava drizzled with honey. We will return.
I enjoyed Tuna Tartar and Seaweed Salad for lunch at Enkai. The tastes of these dishes were fresh, very flavorful and beautifully presented. I will definitely go back to explore more of their menu!
We were quickly seated and approached by our waiter. Our soup and salad came out quickly and were both tasty. However, we waited at least 30 minutes for the food to come out. I’m not sure if our waiter forgot about us or got too involved the soccer match. The restaurant wasn’t too busy…
CascoMar does not disappoint. The staff are personable and do a wonderful job anticipating any needs. We love to start a meal with the fried eggplant drizzled with honey. Unfortunately by the time we finished our main course we are too full for dessert. We need to plan better next visit!
This restaurant is at the edge of Casco Viejo, very near Santa Ana. It is a relatively new place and works to get your business. The service was wonderful and so was the food. We will come back!
This is a new restaurant for us. Right on Independence Square, it offers Panamanian for that is delicious and fairly large portions. My husband and I ordered one appetizer and one main course and finished our lunch very satisfied. We will return!
Nice cool (literally and atmosphere) place to enjoy a nice plate of octopus and tuna tartar. In our eternal search for the best tuna tartar this was good, but not the winner…
Marula was on our list in searching for the best tuna tartar in Casco Viejo. The most striking aspect of Marula’s take on this classic is the lack of Asian influence, which was quite nice. A bit of citrus, avocado, spicy, roe and passion fruit makes this a unique and enjoyable dish.
We love the salmon tartar but also tried tuna tataki this evening. Both dishes were amazing…. plus it is a lot of fun to people-watch from the seats near Calle 9
