It is not often that i visit a restaurant that is so unique in its cooking. El Caribe is just that. The food is to dye for and it is true to its roots Caribbean Cuisine. The Caribbean food is definately gourmet in that it is fresh and full of flavor. I have visited this restaurant three times in the last 30 days and the one thing I can say it is consistent in its delivery of the food. In our most recent visit we ordered the stuffed double filet of corvina topped with mixed seafood in coconut sause (el Caribe sauce), Traditional cod fish, Oxtail with lima beans and dumplings and curry goat with rice and peas. For apetizers we had the jerk wings (yum yum) and the cod fish fritters. To drink we had pineapple ginger and icing glass. What can I say but BRAVO, BRAVO, BRAVO. Regarding some of the coments on this site, the food took 15 to 20 minutes for service but it is to be exected as each platter is cooked to order. Personaly, I prefer to wait if the end result is this good. The ower was gracious enough to visit our table to ensure our satisfaction. This is seldom seen and it was greatly apreciated. The ambiamce is good, I was not quite sure what the other critics said as the place is pleasant and most of all clean. If you love Caribbean food there is no where else to go trust me. And if you dont, there is still no where else to go as the 8 restaurants I visited while in Panama does not come close. I hope when I return in September this restaurant is still in business as it will be my first stop. ESPAÑOL: Excelente Excelente restaurante.
